This morning we had an exciting Italian visitor from West Calder high school. We had great fun learning numbers and playing some fun language games.
We are all sad to be leaving Ford Castle soon as we have the best time! We enjoyed busting some moves last night at the silent disco and our morning activities have been exciting. We're all ready for some lunch and a chill on the bus home.
We had a great second day at Ford Castle. Today started with Trapeze followed by a sensory trail. After lunch we learned the basics of air rifle shooting and had a fun competition of Aeroball. Getting ready for our silent disco later and our last night in dorms.
p2/3 enjoyed exploring length using rulers and meter sticks today. We estimated the lengths of different objects then checked our answers! Everyone did a great job!
Our upper school children have started to provide games at lunchtime to liven up and structure the children's play times. This helps to keep all children active, safe and happy. P2/3 have been learning about weight in our measurement topic. We were estimating then measuring the weight of items in our kitchen. We were all able to estimate what weight these items were (either 1 kilogram or 1/2 a kilogram) then measure them to see how accurate we were.
Today we had our first Rights Respecting Champion meeting of the year. We talked about new ways of sharing the rights with others in our school, competitions we will organise in the school and making sure we have all our rights on every display.
