Today we got in to the Christmas spirit by creating our individual wreaths for our Christmas Fayre day on Friday. We can't wait to show these off to our grown ups. Lots of creativity, communication and collaboration skills.
STARS is an end of season finale for riding and pony club competitors. On Tuesday we had one very happy girl sharing her experiences at STARS which is a horse show. We are all very proud of her in Woodmuir PS and want to congratulate her on all achievements.
Today we had a great nativity rehearsal in class which was our first full run through with singing and dancing. The singing was superb and we had lovely, expression from all children. Our P7/6 children helped lead the practise supporting the younger children with their words.
Today we joined the National Assembly to celebrate World Children's Day. This is an annual event to promote children's rights and improve their welfare world wide. It commemorates the anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child. We took part in body percussion as part of this assembly.
Today we were investigating our school library and finding books that made us laugh, creepy books, non fiction texts, shorter books and novels. We had a little competition as part of book week Scotland and had lots of fun.

Today we started to design our Fayre game thinking about our theme, decorations, the title , goal, players, rules and materials we will need to collect. We also sketched our game and discussed prizes! Again lots of the Woodmuirps skills were visible today including communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking.
Today we started our new term 2 topic where pupils voted for a Christmas Enterprise theme. Lots of great discussion resulted in everyone choosing to create a game for our winter Fayre .
