This week we are working on lots of place value experiences through written tasks, interactive games and Lego challenge activities. We also continued our building, thinking classroom lesson today where there was lots of great mathematical discourse and everyone was working collaboratively.

Today we were practising our estimation skills and measuring using different instruments and units if measured. It was lots of fun choosing what to measure and getting outside too.

This morning we had lots of fun learning more about equivalent fractions and then finding equivalent fractions using Sumdog and fun games like snap and snakes & ladders.

Yesterday we had a super Maths session with the whole school. Everyone was trying different methods to problem solve using addition strategies.
