Highlights from our lesson today where each stage worked on their own problem solving activity. Super collaboration, cooperation, communication and critical skills from each trio.

Today we were learning to define line/ reflective symmetry and complete reflections of given 2D and 3D objects, with and without mirrors. In literacy we read chapter 4 together as a think aloud then created the castle using Lego, scratch and junk models.

We are working in partnership with University of Glasgow to implement MathsBURST in our classroom. This week we are working on lots of place value experiences through written tasks, interactive games and Lego challenge activities. We also continued our building, thinking classroom lesson today where there was lots of great mathematical discourse and everyone was working collaboratively.

Today we were practising our estimation skills and measuring using different instruments and units if measured. It was lots of fun choosing what to measure and getting outside too.

This morning we had lots of fun learning more about equivalent fractions and then finding equivalent fractions using Sumdog and fun games like snap and snakes & ladders.
