This afternoon we had our second bikeability session focussing on using our brakes properly and following a route in the playground with lots of control. In level one we are learning to maintain our cycles, glide, pedal with control and being aware of our surroundings.

Yesterday we worked collaboratively on two thinking tasks.We worked on a curricular and non-curricular maths tasks following our building, thinking classroom rules. Everyone was engaged and involved in super maths discussions.

Today we were practising our estimation skills and measuring using different instruments and units if measured. It was lots of fun choosing what to measure and getting outside too.

This morning we had lots of fun learning more about equivalent fractions and then finding equivalent fractions using Sumdog and fun games like snap and snakes & ladders.

Today we started to explore explanation texts and recognising the features of these texts in our library books. We will use this to help in our writing pieces tomorrow.

This morning primary 7 had a meeting in the high school to share our views on ' belonging' in our school. We had a few refreshments, met learners from other cluster schools and had the opportunity to discuss HWB initiatives we would like to see in happening.

Today we continued on with our Persuasive writing. We were thinking about the key features of a speech today and we watched an informative speech from Greta Thunberg. Lots of great work was written today thinking about how we start off a powerful speech and what points we want to address.

Today we were working on our note taking skills ready to write our first persuasive letter tomorrow. We used safer internet day as our starting point as this assembly generated lots of super discussion. Today we continued on with our digital profiling journey. We talked about our achievements a little more and the skills we have been learning. We are excited to document our learning this term and include pictures of our best work.

This week we started off our pupil digital profiles. We luckily had Mrs Baty come to help us get started with this and we really enjoyed setting up our pages on the platform. This will be a regular task that we do to keep our profiles updated and self assess our learning each week.
