Scotchip Farm visit - taking the classroom outdoors!

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to visit a family run business to see first hand how they grow the potatoes and the process of harvesting and processing them in their factory, before being sold to customers. This was a trip we won by growing the most potatoes in the summer term and completing a fantastic potato display. James and Sonia were great tour guides and took us around all the sheds, the factory and lastly we got to visit the potato fields.

Back in school, we boiled the potatoes from James, had a little taster then took a few home to cook.
