Today in creativity hour we practised a different technique using various brush strokes with watercolours. We were inspired by the artist Monet and his river paintings. Primary 2/3 have been learning about 2D shapes this week. We have learned about new shapes and how we can describe their properties. We can tell you how many sides and vertices (corners) that a shape has!

Today we were very lucky to have S6 from West Calder high visiting us today to explain challenge poverty week. They talked about lunches and uniforms and highlighted what actions we can take. This is a Scotland- wide campaign that challenges the stigma and discrimination often associated with poverty.

Some of the children are going to start assembling our French buildings this week. We have created our lists of what we need and cardboard boxes tops the list. We would be grateful if you could send in any tomorrow and Wednesday so that we can get started! Thank you!
